Most people ask me how I got into this particular business. I started this company because I truly enjoy the art of making someone happy with food. Many restaurants think that flavor has to come from fat. I wanted to change that concept and create healthy yet tasty rice bowls that can be modified to fit any diet without comprising on quality and ultimately taste. My major influencers have always been my mother and my aunts.
They have been an a major part in my culinary adventures from childhood. Yes, I was the annoyingly overhelpful child that would always help out in the kitchen. My mom has always enjoyed making a hearty meal for her family and friends. She passed on that hospitality, warmth, and nurturing nature onto me. Hopefully, I can pass on that to my daughter as well.I have many influences that I have pulled from because of the many different places that I have lived. I was born in the states but my family had many roots. My parents are originally from a western state of India called Gujarat. They immigrated to Panama, Central America first with barely anything in their pocket and thrived. However, cooking their cultural favorites was tough in the beginning. For them to make their traditional Indian food was difficult because they just did not have all the spices and ingredients back from India. They had to use local ingredients and mix what they brought back from India to make a unique fusion of flavors.
I have drawn from both coasts also and have always loved to merge many cultures since I started cooking with my mom since the age of six. I have always had a passion of cooking and I hope that you give my style of food a try. It is quite a unique mix of flavors which has a little bit east and west. It truly is the flavors of the East with a zest of the West.
